*Although I recommend you try and pop along to each session as I believe in layered learning i.e building gradually upon training, if you cannot make a session or decide you would instead like to come to puppy group that week you can catch up by jumping in on the week you miss either on a different or the same day! We know how busy life can be so we will try and tailor our classes around you all as much as possible!
Details
*Puppies should be between 11 weeks - 6 months (older if nervous)
*After graduating from puppy classes puppies can then move onto our informal social groups. Click here to find out more about our puppy groups and book
*Trainer: Sophia
*Maximum of 6 puppies, you will never attend and find more puppies in a group.
*Held in an enclosed field (Springrise canine care in Etchinghill)
*Access to our private puppy page on facebook full of information, resources, social events and support.
*24/7 back up where required via phone, email or in a 1-2-1 session (£30 ph initial with training plan/ £25 follow up)

About Confident puppy school
Confident puppy school is an intensive 4 week course where we focus on basic puppy lifeskills. We use games, rewards and a positive attitude!

You will learn:
Week 1:
*Why we use a 'hands-off' reward based approach
*Attention builders
*What does socialisation mean?
*The difference in environments and High/low value rewards
*How to teach your puppy to come back to you when called and to stay close off lead through games
*What enrichment is and its importance
*Basic puppy problems
*How to encourage your puppy to settle: Calming protocols

Week 2:
*Polite manners: four paws on the floor
*How to walk nicely on a lead
*The swapping game and preventing resource guarding
*Teaching a puppy to 'drop' an item out of its mouth
*Teaching a puppy to 'leave it'
*Preventing separation anxiety - myth busting
*How to teach your puppy to come back to you when called and to stay close off lead through games
Week 3:
*How to teach your puppy to come back to you when called and to stay close off lead through games
*How to walk nicely on a lead
*How to cope with scary noises
*Teaching polite toy play
*Teaching a puppy not to run out of the door when it opens: stay
*Tricks
Week 4:
*How to teach your puppy to come back to you when called and to stay close off lead through games
*Recap previous weeks
*To chase or not to chase?: Channelling the chase!
*Graduation games, certificate and goody bag!

*Caregiver to fill out registration form below
*Caregiver will receive phone call to have a short initial chat on the phone to ensure suitability to the course environment
*Payment will then reserve a place on the course.
*Puppy caregiver to send a picture of vaccination records via email.
*You will receive an invoice, confirmation email and what to bring to your first session.
